MR AND CT PATIENT INFORMATION
We are dedicate to making your experience with us a good one. Below you will find the information on how to prepare for your CT or MRI exam. Please don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions. Also, depending on the type of exam being ordered for you, many same day appointments are available.

Arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow for registration and exam preparation.

Notify us at the time of scheduling and at the time of arrival of any allergies or special needs.

Bring your insurance card, photo ID and physicians order to your appointment time. If worker's compensation, please bring your adjuster's information and your authorization.

Wear comfortable clothing. No metal is permitted on clothing in the MRI scanner.

To ensure the highest quality procedure in a safe environment, we are UNABLE to provide child care services for you during your exam. Please do not bring unattended children to the imaging centers.

Hydrate the day before and day of your exam unless specifically directed otherwise. Take all prescribed medications with a small sip of water unless directed otherwise.
Specific Exam Preparation Instructions

MRI
-
MRI - Abdomen or Abdomen & Pelvis (including Enterography and MRCP)

Do not eat after midnight the night before the exam. If you have a late day exam, nothing ot eat 6 hours prior to the exam.

Water is ok.

MRI - Pelvis Only

May eat light food

MR Arthrograms

Light foods
-
No blood thinning medication 5 days prior (ex. Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Excedrin)

MRI Guided Breast Biopsy

May eat light foods

All Other MRI Exams

CT
-
Abdomen or Abdomen & Pelvis
